Blackpool Keeping Tabs on Bolton Duo

Championship strugglers Blackpool are said to be keeping a close eye on the availability of Bolton duo Conor Wilkinson and Chris Lester.

The Seasiders are routed at the foot of the table, with 17 points from their first 25 games, but victory over Millwall on Saturday moved them to within three points of Wigan Athletic - although they do remain eight points from safety.

With no fewer than 27 players leaving Bloomfield Road last summer, Blackpool have struggled to assemble a regular first-team squad this season and reportedly send a scout to watch both Wilkinson and Lester in last Monday's 3-0 development squad victory over Blackburn Rovers.

Wilkinson recently penned a new contract at Macron Stadium, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2018, while Lester, who has made two senior appearances for Wanderers, is out of contract at the end of the season.

Reports on Sunday suggest Blackpool are keen to take both players on loan for the remainder of the campaign, with a view to having first refusal on any permanent moves if they become surplus to requirements.
