Tom Eaves has returned to Bolton following the expiry of his loan at Yeovil Town, but only after causing a stir with Wanderers fans on social media.

Eaves, who joined the Trotters from Oldham Athletic in August 2010, made his senior debut for Bolton in April 2013 and has since gone on to make four appearances.

He was reportedly close to sealing a permanent switch to MK Dons last summer, but has spent the last six weeks on loan at Huish Park, where he failed to score in seven outings for League One's bottom club.

His final game for the Glovers came in Sunday's FA Cup third round defeat to Manchester United, after which he sparked debate on Twitter by blocking a high number of Wanderers fans from following his updates.

The 23-year-old, who is contracted to Bolton until the summer of 2016, is closing in on 3,000 followers on the social networking website and has puzzled those now unable to view his timeline, with no previous ill-feeling known to be between he and supporters.
