Attwell to Referee Millwall v Bolton

Stuart Attwell will referee Friday's Championship fixture between Millwall and Bolton at The Den.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a goalless draw against Ipswich Town on Saturday, while Millwall were 1-0 winners at Brighton & Hove Albion the previous evening.

Attwell, who will take charge of the game, has offciated 18 matches so far this season - issuing 48 yellow cards and two red.

His last outing was on December 13, when he was the man in the middle for Wolverhampton Wanderers' 1-0 victory at Sheffield Wednesday. The Warwickshire official produced two yellow cards in that game, both of which were shown to Owls players.

Attwell's last match in charge of Bolton was on October 1, when Wanderers were beaten 4-0 at Fulham in what proved to be Dougie Freedman's final game as manager. Two yellow cards were shown that evening - to Wanderers' Mark Davies and Chris Herd.

The last time he refereed a Millwall fixture was on March 22, when they were beaten 2-1 by Leeds United at Elland Road. Three yellow cards were shown in that game, with Stefan Maierhofer in the receiving end for the Lions.
