Bolton defender Hayden White has returned to the club, after picking up a knee injury while on loan at Bury.

White joined the Shakers last month and was due to remain at the JD Stadium until January 4, 2015, but was forced off the field on his only appearance for David Flitcroft's side after finding himself on the receiving end of a poor challenge in their 3-1 defeat to Newport County last weekend.

The 19-year-old, who has made five senior appearances for Bolton, will have the problem assessed by Wanderers' medical staff before a decision is made on whether to send him back to the League Two side.

Speaking to the Bury Times, Flitcroft said: "After the tackle that Hayden received last week we have sent him back to Bolton so they could check up on him and we will await the report."

After a bright start to the season, Bury have lost their last four games and, as a result, have slipped out of the promotion picture. They occupy 8th place in League Two, eight points behind league leaders Wycombe Wanderers and one behind Newport County, who currently hold the final play-off place.
