Medo Kamara won his 18th international cap on Wednesday, playing 90 minutes in Sierra Leone's 3-1 defeat to DR Congo.

With qualification for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations impossible to achieve, Sierra Leone's task for the evening was to deny their opponents a place in the competition - which will be held in Equatorial Guinea in January.

Things started brightly for the visitors, who took a 35th minute lead through Lamia midfielder John Kamara, but DR Congo ensured the two sides went in level at the break as Crystal Palace's Yannick Bolasie equalised just five minutes later.

Cedric Mongongu completed the turnaround at the midway stage of the second-period, converting from the penalty spot with ease, before Bolasie added his second, and DR Congo's third, in stoppage time to complete the scoring.

DR Congo finish 3rd in the group, behind the qualified duo of Cameroon and Ivory Coast, who played out a goalless draw, but they could still make next year's tournament should results elsewhere go their way at the weekend.
