Geoff Eltringham will referee Tuesday's Championship fixture between Bolton and Cardiff City at Macron Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-1 at Norwich City on Friday, while the Bluebirds were 3-1 at home to Leeds United the following afternoon.

Eltringham, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 12 matches so far this season - issuing 32 yellow cards and four red.

His last outing was on October 26, when he was the man in the middle for Exeter City's 2-0 victory at Morecambe in League Two. The County Durham kept his cards in his pocket that afternoon, for the first time this campaign.

Eltringham's last match in charge of Bolton was in December 2013, when Wanderers were beaten 1-0 by Huddersfield Town at the Reebok Stadium. Three yellow cards were shown that evening, one of which was presented to Matt Mills.

The last time he refereed a Cardiff fixture was in April 2012, when they were 1-0 winners over Barnsley at Oakwell. Two yellow cards were issued that day, with the Bluebirds' Liam Lawrence and Kevin McNaughton - now of Wanderers - on the receiving end.
