Heywood To Referee Bolton v Brentford

Mark Heywood will referee Saturday's Championship fixture between Bolton and Brentford at Macron Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-1 defeat at Charlton Athletic on Tuesday, while the Bees were held to a goalless draw by Sheffield Wednesday on the same evening.

Heywood, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 10 matches so far this season - issuing 32 yellow cards and one red.

His last outing was on October 18, when he was the man in the middle for Mansfield Town's scoreless draw with Cambridge United in League Two. The West Yorkshire official produced five yellow cards in that game.

Heywood, who has never previously refereed a Bolton fixture, last took charge of a Brentford game on February 1, when they claimed a 1-1 draw at Shrewsbury Town. Five yellow cards were shown that afternoon, with two of their players entering the referee's notebook.
