Bolton's pre-Christmas fixture against Millwall has been brought forward, due to travel disruption on a nearby train line.

Wanderers were due to play at The Den on Saturday 20th December 2014, but the game will now take place the previous night - December 19, 2014 - with kick-off at 19:45.

In a statement posted to Millwall's official website, Andy Ambler, CEO of the Lions, said: "We want to give full consideration to both our supporters and those travelling down from Bolton.

"London Bridge station is set to be closed for two weeks from 20th December which could cause significant difficulties for fans getting to the game at what is already a busy time and, of course, the last Saturday before Christmas.

"Taking everything into account, and in agreement with Bolton, the game is moving back to the Friday night."

After a 17-year gap between meetings, Bolton have travelled to Millwall three times since February 2012. They were 2-0 winners in an FA Cup fifth round tie back then, before a 2-1 defeat in the Championship proved to be Owen Coyle's final game as Wanderers manager just eight months later.

Last season's corresponding fixture ended in a 1-1 draw, as a late Martyn Woolford goal cancelled out a 15th minute opener from Lukas Jutkiewicz.
