Bolton's Championship fixture against Norwich City has been brought forward, due to a request from The Football League.

The game was originally due to be played at 15:00 on November 1, 2014, but was moved to 17:15 after being selected for live television coverage by Sky Sports.

However, the game will now take place on the evening of Friday, October 31, with kick-off at Carrow Road set for 19:45.

The reason for the switch was brought about because Brighton & Hove Albion, who were scheduled to face Bournemouth in Friday's televised fixture, travel to Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round of the League Cup just two days earlier.

It is two-and-a-half years since Bolton and Norwich last met. Their last outing was in February 2012, when goals from Andrew Surman and Anthony Pilkington gave the Canaries a 2-0 victory on home soil - as they completed a first league double over the Trotters since the 1970/71 campaign.
