Former Bolton forward Delroy Facey will appear in court on Tuesday, after being charged with conspiracy to commit bribery.

Facey was arrested last November for his part in an alleged Football League match-fixing scandal, after secret recordings by The Telegraph newspaper uncovered footage that suggested matches could have been fixed for a fee of £50,000.

Six men, including Facey, were arrested last year, while three - Chann Sankaran, Krishna Ganeshan and Michael Boateng - were convicted in June.

Facey is due to appear before Cannock Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, before the case makes its way to Birmingham Crown Court on Friday, September 19.
