Modou Barrow, who spent time on trial with Bolton over the summer, has joined Swansea City for a fee reported to be in the region of £1.5million.

Barrow travelled to Scandinavia with the Wanderers first-team squad in July and played 45 minutes in a 1-1 draw at Brondby.

The 21-year-old, who was also courting interest from clubs such as Everton, Hull City, Queens Park Rangers, Middlesbrough and Celtic, among others, was said to be the subject of a £500,000 bid from Bolton last month, although manager Dougie Freedman rejected those claims - claiming the valuation of the player didn't represent value for money.

Barrow will link up with the development squad at the Liberty Stadium and is expected to make his debut against their Birmingham City counterparts on Monday evening.
