Bolton are reportedly weighing up a deadline day loan move for Nottingham Forest utility man Greg Halford.

Halford has been a regular part of the Forest side since joining from Portsmouth in July 2012, making 82 appearances, but has yet to feature this season under the new management of Stuart Pearce.

The 29-year-old can play in any number of central or right-sided positions, whether it be in defence, midfield or in attack, and, at 6' 4", could fit the bill of a target man Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman is searching for.

Neither Bolton nor Forest are yet to comment on the speculation, although reports in the East Midlands suggest a deal could be struck before Monday's 11pm transfer deadline.
