Derby County have completed the signing of Jordon Ibe on a season-long loan from Liverpool.

Ibe had been a major target for Bolton over the summer, but Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman revealed earlier this week that he had been forced to abandon talks due to the Reds' financial demands for the winger.

The 18-year-old met with Rams manager Steve McClaren on Friday and, after signing all the relevant paperwork, could make his debut against Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon - providing the deal receives clearance from The Football League.

Speaking to Derby's official website about his latest recruit, McClaren said: "We're delighted that Liverpool have again chosen to loan us one of their promising young players.

"Jordon Ibe is someone who we've been aware of for quite a while and have been impressed whenever we've seen him in action.

"He has a lot of potential and we believe that we can help his career development.

"He is a direct player with plenty of ability and he will certainly strengthen the attacking options we are able to call upon."
