Tim Ream and Lee Chung-Yong are just two of eight Bolton players to have been called to represent their country during the upcoming international break.

Ream has been included in the United States squad for their forthcoming friendly against Czech Republic, which will take place on September 3 at the Generali Arena, in Prague. He is one of seven English-based players in the squad, which also includes the likes of Aston Villa's Brad Guzan and Sunderland's Jozy Altidore.

Meanwhile, Chung-Yong could reach the 60-cap milestone as South Korea play home friendlies against Venezuela on September 5, and Uruguay on September 8. The 26-year-old currently has 58 caps for his country, the last of which came in a 1-0 defeat to Belgium at the World Cup.

Other players to have been called up to represent their country are Adam Bogdan, Medo Kamara, Yannick Bastos, Conor Wilkinson, Chris Lester and Jamie Thomas.

Thomas was on the scoresheet four times as Wanderers' under-18 side beat Blackburn Rovers 5-1 last weekend and, as a result, has won his first call-up to the Wales under-19 squad for their double-header against Montenegro.

Wilkinson has been named in the Republic of Ireland under-21 squad for their friendly against Germany and Lester is in the Northern Ireland under-21 squad for their game against Serbia, while Bastos has been included in the senior Luxembourg squad for their game against Belarus, on September 8.

Returning to senior international football, Bogdan is likely to win his 20th cap when Hungary open their UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying campaign against Northern Ireland on September 7, while Kamara is in contention to feature for Sierra Leone's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Ivory Coast, on September 6, and Congo, on September 10.
