Hooper To Referee Leeds v Bolton

Simon Hooper will referee Saturday's Championship fixture between Leeds United and Bolton at Elland Road.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 3-2 extra-time victory at Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday night, while Leeds were beaten 2-1 at Bradford City the following evening.

Hooper, who will take charge of the game, has officiated five matches so far this season - issuing 13 yellow cards and one red.

His last outing was on August 26, when he was the man in the middle for Shrewsbury Town's 1-0 victory at Leicester City in the second round of the League Cup. The Wiltshire official produced three yellow cards in that game.

Hooper's last match in charge of Bolton was on February 15, when Wanderers drew 1-1 with Millwall at The Den. Five yellow cards were issued that day, two of which were shown to Chris Eagles and Mark Davies.

The last time he refereed a Leeds fixture was on March 15, when they were beaten 2-1 by Burnley at Turf Moor. Two yellow cards were shown that afternoon - one to each side.
