Tony Harrington will referee Tuesday's League Cup second round tie between Crewe Alexandra and Bolton at the Alexandra Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-1 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, while Alex were beaten 2-0 by Swindon Town at the County Ground.

Harrington, who will take charge of the game, has officiated three matches so far this season - issuing five yellow cards and no red.

His last outing was on August 19, when he was the man in the middle for Morecambe's 1-0 victory over Oxford United at the Globe Arena. The Cleveland official produced two yellow cards that evening - one to each side.

Harrington's last match in charge of Bolton was in September 2013, when Wanderers were held to a 1-1 draw by Yeovil Town at the Reebok Stadium. Four yellow cards were issued that day, one of which was shown to Medo Kamara.

The last time he refereed an Alex fixture was on March 11, when they drew 1-1 at Walsall in a League One fixture. Three yellow cards were shown that evening, all of which were given to Crewe players.

Below is the full set of officials for Tuesday's game between Crewe and Bolton:
