Reports on Tuesday evening suggest Bolton will complete the loan signing of Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe before their weekend trip to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Ibe made his Anfield debut in May 2013, in a 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers, but is unlikely to feature this season following the summer arrivals of Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic.

As per a report in The Mirror, Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman has remained patient in his pursuit of the 18-year-old and appears to have beaten off competition from a number of Championship rivals to bring the deal close to fruition.

Ibe spent the final two months of last season on loan at Birmingham City, where he scored once in 11 appearances - as well as featuring in the Blues' dramatic final day draw at the Reebok Stadium in May.

His potential arrival at Macron Stadium may force through a temporary move for Robert Hall, who is attracting interest from Birmingham.
