Q&A With Nottingham Forest

Ahead of the 87th meeting between Bolton and Nottingham Forest on Saturday, we have got the views of a Forest supporter.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 3-2 extra-time victory over Bury on Tuesday night, while the visitors were also winners on the same evening - 1-0 at Tranmere Rovers.

In our latest edition of Q&A, we have spoken to Michael Cleaver. Michael is a 21-year-old Forest supporter, who has been going to the City Ground since he was a child. He lists Andy Reid as his favourite all-time player, while promotion from League One in 2008 goes down as his best moment following the club.

Ahead of Saturday's game, Michael shares his views on Stuart Pearce's return to the City Ground, why promotion to the Premier League has to be the target for this season and why former Wanderers target Chris Burke has the potential to send them there.

Q: Stuart Pearce returned to Forest over the summer. What do you think about his appointment as manager and the way he has been treated so far?

A: I think I speak on behalf of every Forest fan when I say I'm excited and more optimistic about this season.

Stuart Pearce is a person who will bring passion from not only himself, but also with the signings he has made. I'm really looking forward to the season ahead.

Q: As it stands, where do you expect Forest to finish this season and why?

A: The play-offs are a must, with all the players we have brought in over the summer and the expectation of the club, but I genuinely believe we have a team and manager capable of achieving a top-two finish.

Q: If there is one game that excites you (either with or without Forest) in this league, what is it?

A: It has to be Forest v Derby - as this is the game both sets of fans look for when the fixtures are announced every summer.

The history and hatred we have for each other is just top class and it is probably the best derby in the Championship.

Q: Which individual has the potential to finish as Forest's Player of the Season this year?

A: Chris Burke. To be able to sign a player of his quality on a free transfer is a big statement and, alongside Reid, he will be our main creator of most of our goals.

Q: There has been a lot of change at Bolton over the summer. Who, in your opinion, would you say is our best player?

A: In all honesty, I haven't paid much attention to other teams' transfer business, but it will be good if you can keep hold of Adam Bogdan. I think he is a top-class goalkeeper.

Q: Finally, what is your score prediction for Saturday's game?

A: I'm going to go for a 3-0 Forest victory.

Burnden Aces would like to thank Michael for taking the time to answer our questions. You can read more from him on Twitter - @xCleaverNFFC.
