Bolton look set to complete the signing of Tamworth forward Kaiyne Woolery, after a bid in the region of £10,000 was accepted by the non-league club.

Woolery, who has made 19 appearances for the Lambs since joining on a free transfer from Maidstone United last summer, recently spent a month on trial at Burnley and has reportedly rejected an offer to sign for the Clarets in favour of a switch to Wanderers.

The 19-year-old is likely to link up with the Trotters' development squad, where he will provide competition for first-team hopefuls Conor Wilkinson, Zach Clough, Tom Youngs and Georg Iliev, and his current manager, Dale Belford, says there is no better place for the player to progress.

"Kaiyne had options but he has decided Bolton are his preferred choice," Belford told Tamworth Herald.

"It's a great move for him and we wish him all the very best. He's a smashing kid.

"He's a raw talent with a lot to learn and develop but there's no better place for him to develop his talent than with a club like Bolton.

"Hopefully he will go there, work with their coaches and develop further as a player."
