Mason Rejoins Bolton on Season-Long Loan

Bolton have completed the signing of Joe Mason on a season-long loan deal from Championship rivals Cardiff City.

Mason had two temporary stints with Wanderers last season, where his record of six goals in a combined total of 16 appearances gave him the best goals-per-game ratio at the club.

The 23-year-old recently signed a new contract at the Cardiff City Stadium, keeping him tied to the Bluebirds until the summer of 2018, but will spend the campaign with the Trotters.

As Mason is signing from a Welsh club, the deal is subject to international clearance from The FA - which could put his participation in Tuesday's League Cup tie against Bury in doubt. Once the deal has been ratified by the authorities, Mason will be eligible for all Wanderers fixtures apart from those against his parent club.
