Reports in Sunday's press indicate Norwich City are exploring the possibility of a swap deal involving Anthony Pilkington and Bolton's Lee Chung-Yong.

Both players recently entered the final 12 months of their respective contracts and speculation refuses to budge over their futures.

Chung-Yong joined Wanderers in a £2.2million transfer from FC Seoul in the summer of 2009, while City's Pilkington was a £2million purchase from Huddersfield Town two years later.

As per a report in The Sunday People, both players are said to be valued at around £1million and the Canaries believe Pilkington may be interested in a return to the area where he grew up.

The 26-year-old was born in Blackburn and had a spell with Rovers as a teenager, as well as playing in the youth academies at both Preston North End and Manchester United. After being released by his hometown club, Pilkington earned a move to Stockport County after impressing on the non-league scene with Atherton Collieries.

He joined Huddersfield in 2009, before spending the last three years at Carrow Road - where he has scored 15 goals in 82 appearances. However, Pilkington was restricted to just 15 Premier League games last season as he struggled against a persistant hamstring injury.

Chung-Yong, meanwhile, has struggled to recapture the form he showed prior to a horrendous double leg break suffered in July 2011. Despite that, he made 47 appearances for Bolton last season - more than any other player - and is expected to be one of the key members of the team if they are to push for promotion this coming season.
