Bolton boss Dougie Freedman has once again raided his former club, Crystal Palace, by completing the signing of defender Quade Taylor.

Taylor, who moved to Selhurst Park from non-league side Dulwich Hamlet in 2011, left the Premier League club at the end of June following the expiration of his contract and has signed a 12-month deal with Wanderers.

The 20-year-old, who can play at centre-half or right-back, spent the final few weeks of last season on loan at Skrill Premier side Welling United - for whom he made nine appearances, scoring once.

Taylor is expected to link up with the development squad at the Macron Stadium, where he will work under the tutelage of his former Eagles coach Jamie Fullarton.

He joins an ever-growing list of youngsters competing for first-team places in Freedman's squad, with the likes of Joe Riley, Hayden White, Oscar Threlkeld and Cian Bolger already seeing first-team action in recent months.

Taylor, who has previously worked alongside Freedman, follows in the footsteps of his former Palace teammates Andre Moritz and Dean Moxey by making the move to the North West.
