After a near-fortnight long tour of Scandinavia came to an end on Wednesday night, Wanderers played their first domestic pre-season fixture of the summer against non-league opposition at Moss Rose.

Chris Holroyd's first-half strike gave the Silkmen a lead which lasted until nine minutes from time, when Zach Clough opened his account for the senior side by firing home from just inside the penalty area.
