Alex Baptiste has been bailed by police after being arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm, after an attack outside a bar in Poulton le Fylde.

The incident, which happened at the UBER bar, took place when Baptiste reacted to a man who touched his wife's bottom. The Bolton Wanderers defender, formerly of Blackpool, is said to have retaliated by throwing a punch which caused the victim to lose a consciousness and a number of teeth.

This happened at 1:35am on Saturday 28th June 2014 and as well as Baptiste, a 23-year-old man was also arrested and bailed on suspicion of assault.

Baptiste flew to Sweden with the rest of the Bolton squad on Tuesday and is expected to find out whether he will be charged upon his return to the country next week.
