Bolton have placed a £2million price tag on Adam Bogdan, after reportedly rejecting an offer from German side FSV Mainz last week.
Bogdan has just entered the final 12 months of his contract at the Macron Stadium and has previously expressed his desire to return to the top level of the game, after two years in the Championship with Wanderers.
Having joined Bolton from Hungarian side Vasas in the summer of 2007, the 26-year-old has gone on to make 107 appearances for the Trotters and was one of their outstanding performers in the second half of last season.
Although reports of an offer from Mainz were rejected by Wanderers officials last week, the Bundesliga side are known admirers of the Hungary international and the Sunday People suggest the club are holding out for a fee of £2million before they would consider any sort of transfer.
Bogdan is the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper at Bolton, with Andy Lonergan sitting comfortably in second. Summer signing Ross Fitzsimons has jumped up to third-choice, following the summer departures of Jay Lynch and Arran Lee-Barrett, although anybody further down the pecking order would have to make the step up from the academy ranks.
