Former Bolton midfielder Chris Eagles says he will explain the reason behind his exit once he has sorted his future by signing for another club.

Eagles left Wanderers earlier this week, after three years at the Reebok Stadium, for whom he scored 19 goals in 106 appearances.

The 28-year-old says he has nothing but 'love' for Bolton and although he refused to comment on speculation suggesting he had fallen out with Dougie Freedman, the former Burnley midfielder says he will have his say in the near future.

"Everyone knows what I feel for Bolton, I do love the club," Eagles told The Bolton News.

"No matter what has gone on, that hasn't changed, even if I don't play for them anymore.

"I have loved it at Bolton. What has happened has happened.

"When my career is sorted I will have my say. Until then, I don't want to go into detail.

"I love the fans, I love the club and I always will - I wouldn't want anyone to doubt that."
