Reports on Wednesday suggest Bolton have rejected a bid from FSV Mainz for first-choice goalkeeper Adam Bogdan.
Sky Sports journalist Pete O'Rourke was the first to break the news, with the Bundesliga side said to be chasing the signature of the Hungary international - who has made 107 appearances since joining Wanderers from Vasas in 2007.
The 26-year-old experienced a difficult start to last season, but was arguably the club's best player after returning from injury in the final third of the campaign.
Following the summer departures of Arran Lee-Barrett and Jay Lynch, selling Bogdan would leave Dougie Freedman with just Andy Lonergan and recent signing Ross Fitzsimons to choose from.
Bogdan has just 12 months remaining on his contract at the Macron Stadium and has previously stated his desire to play at the top level of the game once again, but it would appear as though he will be staying with the Trotters for the time being - with Wanderers denying speculation that they have received an offer.
