A four-year deal which will see Italian sports manufacturer Macron take control of Bolton's stadium naming rights comes into effect today.

After 17 years, Reebok's monopoly of the sponsorship rights for the ground came to an end on Monday. Indeed, since midnight this morning, the Reebok Stadium will now be known as the Macron Stadium.

Reebok's existing deal was due to run until 2016, but a mutual agreement with their parent company - Adidas - brought an end to a contract which also sees Macron take over merchandise production.

Work to rebrand the stadium began last month and the stage is now set for Wanderers, who will play host to Vitesse Arnhem in a pre-season friendly on Sunday 3rd August 2014. The first competitive game at the newly named stadium will be against Bury, in the Capital One Cup, on August 12.
