Bolton will face a fight for the signature of Lukas Jutkiewicz, after it emerged Wolverhampton Wanderers have expressed an interest in the player.

Jutkiewicz, who has 12 months left on his Middlesbrough contract, spent the second half of last season on loan at Bolton, where he scored seven goals in 20 appearances.

Last month, Boro set an asking price of £1million for the 25-year-old, who was also attracting interest from Blackburn Rovers, a fee which Trotters boss Dougie Freedman may have to raise through the sale of players from his current squad.

With two months still to go until the start of the new season, speculation surrounding Jutkiewicz's future is already heating up, with Wolves now entering the equation as they look to build on this season's League One title-winning campaign.

Kenny Jackett already has the likes of Leon Clarke and Kevin Doyle in his squad at Molineux, but the arrival of Jutkiewicz would add another dimension to his side's attacking play - just as it would at the Macron Stadium.
