Former Bolton captain Kevin Davies has suggested plans are in place for Fernando Hierro to play in his testimonial match at the Macron Stadium next year.

Davies, who left Bolton last summer after 10 years at the club, looks set to return to the club in August 2015 for an exhibition match featuring a number of players from his decade with the Trotters.

Past stars such as Ivan Campo and Stelios Giannakopoulos are all but certain to be making appearances and when pressed for more names by a supporter on Twitter, Davies responded that Hierro had agreed to take part but has yet to confirm his place.

Davies has been tight-lipped on the names of potential returns for his testimonial match, with supporters eager to see players such as Bruno N'Gotty, Kevin Nolan, El-Hadji Diouf and Nicolas Anelka turn out one last time before the one-time England international brings the curtain down on his career.
