Bolton boss Dougie Freedman says he is pleased with his summer business so far and declared his interest in signing Middlesbrough forward Lukas Jutkiewicz.

Freedman has completed the signings of five players in the month since the season ended - with Neil Danns, Liam Trotter, Liam Feeney, Andy Robinson and Dorian Dervite all joining the Trotters.

Jutkiewicz spent the second half of this season on loan at the Reebok Stadium, scoring seven goals in 20 appearances, and the reported £1million asking price is said to have interested Blackburn Rovers. Freedman says he is interested in the player, but may have to wait until later in the summer before making his move.

"We know what Neil Danns, Liam Trotter and Liam Feeney can do after last season and we have got them all in permanently on free transfers along with Andy Robinson," Freedman told The Bolton News.

"Dorian Dervite is another who has not cost money and is a great signing for us.

"I am still looking and everyone knows we are interested in Lukas Jutkiewicz after how well he did for us last season. We have to wait and see if that happens.

"There may be other additions, but the timing and deal has to be right.

"The loan market has been fantastic for us but we shouldn't rely on that. You always prefer players on permanent deals.

"We have got five in and they have all been free transfers.

"I am not saying we will not spend if we need to. I know fans always like to see the club go out and spend money on good players but they have to be the right ones who are worth paying for."
