Lee Chung-Yong won his 54th international cap on Wednesday, as he played 82 minutes in South Korea's 1-0 defeat to Tunisia in Seoul.

With less than three weeks to go until the start of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Hong Myung-Bo's side went head-to-head with their African opposition - who will not be participating in this summer's tournament.

South Korea are placed 55th in the current FIFA World Rankings, six places behind Tunisia - who ran out 1-0 winners at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, in a week where football betting was at the centre of controversy in international football.

Zouhaier Dhaouadi scored the only goal of the game, putting the ball beyond Jung Sung-Ryong with less than 60 seconds of the first half remaining, to give Georges Leekens' side a surprise win against the 2002 World Cup hosts.

Chung-Yong, who will be the vice-captain of his country this summer, was replaced by Augsburg's Ji Dong-Won - formerly of Sunderland - for the final eight minutes of the game, but couldn't prevent his team from slipping to defeat.

South Korea's next game will take place on June 8, 2014, as they conclude their preparations for the World Cup with a friendly against Ghana at the FIU Stadium in Miami, Florida, USA.
