With next season's Championship line-up confirmed, Dougie Freedman will begin the campaign as the division's 4th longest-serving manager.

Following Rotherham United's League One play-off final victory over Leyton Orient on Sunday, the Millers became the 24th team to make up the second tier of English football for 2014/15. In doing so, their manager - Steve Evans - instantly became the longest-serving boss in the Championship, having been appointed in April 2012.

Previously, the longest-serving manager in the league was Leicester City's Nigel Pearson. He was followed by Yeovil Town's Gary Johnson, but differing campaigns in 2013/14 means one will be in the Premier League in August and the other will be in League One.

Birmingham City's Lee Clark tops the list of managers who will have been involved in 2013/14 and 2014/15, placing him behind Evans, while Bournemouth's Eddie Howe, Bolton's Freedman and Ipswich Town's Mick McCarthy complete the top five.

At the time of writing, 21 Championship clubs have a manager. The average time in charge currently stands at 330 days - approximately 11 months.

Blackpool and Brighton & Hove Albion are without a manager, while Stuart Pearce doesn't officially take charge at Nottingham Forest until July 1.
