Bolton will travel to Denmark and Sweden this summer, having added three pre-season friendlies to their schedule.

Games against Macclesfield Town, Rochdale, Tranmere Rovers and Port Vale were announced earlier this week, but they will now be preceded by three games in Scandanavia in the space of a week.

Wanderers will fly out to Denmark in early July, where they will play two games, before crossing over to Sweden prior to their journey back to the North West.

Bolton's first game of the mini-tour will see them face Brondby on July 10. The 10-time Danish champions finished 4th in the Superliga this season, qualifying for next season's UEFA Europa League, and once boasted squads that included players such as Bo Hansen and Johan Elmander.

From there, Dougie Freedman's side will move on to face FC Vestsjaelland on July 13 at the Harboe Arena Slagelse. The Vikings, as they are known in their home country, finished 9th in the Danish top-flight this campaign.

The final game of Wanderers' time on foreign shores will be across the water from Denmark, as they line up against Swedish side Mjallby AIF at Strandvallen on July 16. Lars Jacobsson's side are currently embroiled in a relegation scrap in the Allsvenskan - ranked 15th out of 16 teams in the division.

Below is Bolton's current pre-season schedule:
