Liam Trotter's stunning volley at Sheffield Wednesday in April has been voted as Bolton's 2013/14 Goal of the Season, by Burnden Aces readers.

Trotter scored his first and, to date, only goal for Wanderers in a 3-1 victory at Hillsborough last month, sending a looping half-volley over and beyond Chris Kirkland from 30 yards.

The on-loan Millwall midfielder, who has since agreed a permanent move to the club, was the comfortable winner of our poll, which saw Lukas Jutkiewicz and Jay Spearing finish second and third respectively.

Jutkiewicz claimed the runner-up spot for his lob against Bournemouth in February, while Spearing's fierce drive against Blackburn Rovers in March wasn't far behind.

Below are the full results of our Goal of the Season poll:

56.57% - Liam Trotter v Sheffield Wednesday
18.86% - Lukas Jutkiewicz v Bournemouth
10.29% - Jay Spearing v Blackburn Rovers
  4.57% - David Ngog v Blackpool
  2.86% - Sanmi Odelusi v Shrewsbury Town (Goal 2)
  2.29% - Andre Moritz v Millwall
  1.71% - Alex Baptiste v Derby County
  1.71% - Neil Danns v Barnsley
  1.14% - Medo Kamara v Ipswich Town

By winning this year's award, Trotter joins a list including Mark Davies, Gary Cahill and Johan Elmander, who won the awards in each of the last three seasons. For the second campaign running, the winning goal has been scored at Hillsborough.
