Bolton are said to be closing in on the signing of Dorian Dervite on a free transfer from Charlton Athletic.

Dervite, who plays in central defence, is out of contract at The Valley and has been unable to agree terms on a new deal at the club. He is reported to have been offered a three-year contract at the Reebok Stadium.

The 25-year-old, who has previously represented Tottenham Hotspur and Villarreal, came through the youth ranks at French side Lille and has represented the French national side at every level from under-16 to under-21.

Dervite made 44 appearances for Charlton, as they escaped relegation into League One this season, but looks certain to leave after two years at the club, with Bolton likely to be his next stop.
