Tim Ream has been voted as Bolton Wanderers' 2013/14 Player of the Season by Burnden Aces readers.

In the week that he won the same awards from the Bolton Wanderers Supporters Association and the club itself, Ream completes the hat-trick having gained more than double the number of votes of his nearest competitior - Neil Danns.

Since we opened the poll on March 31, more than 3,000 votes were cast and Ream has been declared as your winner, less than 12 months after he looked set to leave the club.

Having found himself out of the side in the final third of last season, Ream started this campaign out of favour and had been linked with moves to both Middlesbrough and Bristol City. But, having impressed in a number of positions throughout the last nine months, mostly at left-back, he was recently linked with a £4million summer switch to West Bromwich Albion, showing how much he has improved after finally adapting to the English game.

After winning the club's official award earlier in the week, Ream said: "It's a really cool feeling to be recognised again by the club's supporters. As I said before, it's nice and humbling knowing that people think you've done a good job, but at the end of the day it's about the squad.

"Personally, the past two years have definitely been a real eye opener. When I was involved last season I was a little unnerved purely by how different the style was to the other leagues I've played in.

"There are so many demands in this league and to begin with I probably wasn't prepared for that, but it definitely gave me motivation coming into this season.

"I feel settled off the field, and that's also a big factor whether people believe it or not. I feel happy and am working in a structure and programme that really helps us, as players."

Ream saw off competition from the aforementioned Danns to claim the award, while Adam Bogdan's superb form since February sees him finish in third.
