Andy Davies will referee Saturday's Championship fixture between Sheffield Wednesday and Bolton at Hillsborough.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Leicester City on Tuesday night, while the Owls were beaten 3-2 by Charlton Athletic on Easter Monday.

Davies, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 27 matches so far this season - issuing 106 yellow cards and four red.

His last outing was on April 18, when he was the man in the middle for Huddersfield Town's 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion in the Championship. The Hampshire official produced seven yellow cards in that game.

Davies' last match in charge of Bolton was in January 2014, when Wanderers were beaten 7-1 by Reading at the Madejski Stadium. Three yellow cards were shown that day, to Trotters players Mark Davies, Darren Pratley and Lee Chung-Yong, while the Royals were also awarded a first-half penalty.

He has never previously taken charge of a Sheffield Wednesday fixture.
