James Adcock will referee Saturday's Championship fixture between Bolton and Barnsley at the Reebok Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-1 victory at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night, while Barnsley were beaten 1-0 by Burnley at Oakwell on the same evening.

Adcock, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 27 matches so far this season - issuing 86 yellow cards and five red.

His last outing was on April 8, when he was the man in the middle for Blackburn Rovers' 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at Ewood Park. The Nottinghamshire official produced one yellow card in that game.

Adcock's last match in charge of Bolton was in August 2013, when Wanderers were beaten 1-0 by QPR on home soil. Seven yellow cards were shown that day, with Marc Tierney the only Trotters player to enter the book.

The last time he refereed a Barnsley fixture was in December 2013, when they lost 1-0 to Burnley at Turf Moor. Two yellow cards were shown that afternoon - one to each team.
