Bolton midfielder Keith Andrews says he will be 'very surprised' if he is still a Wanderers player next season.

Andrews moved to the Reebok Stadium on a free transfer from West Bromwich Albion in June 2012, when he signed a three-year contract with the Trotters. He made 27 appearances in his first campaign with the club, before being sent out on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion after just two games this time around.

The 33-year-old has made 25 appearances for the Seagulls this season, scoring once, and he says recent reports suggesting he could return to Bolton next season appear to be far from the truth.

"Although I have a year left on my contact, I would be very surprised if I was there," Andrews told BBC Sport.

"The writing's been on the wall since the day he (Freedman) let me go on loan.

"I'm surprised really (at the reports). That would be what the headlines would say, but if you actually analyse what he said, I doubt that is the case in all honesty.

"There is not a lot in there to suggest I have a big future at Bolton.

"We are all old enough and long enough in the tooth to play the game a little bit."
