Scott Duncan will referee Saturday's Championship fixture between Bolton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion at the Reebok Stadium.
Wanderers go into the game on the back of a goalless draw at Derby County on Tuesday night, while Brighton were 2-0 winners over Queens Park Rangers on the same evening.
Duncan, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 27 matches so far this season - issuing 56 yellow cards and one red.
His last outing was on March 8, when he was the man in the middle for Port Vale's 2-1 victory over Carlisle United in League One. The Northumberland official kept his cards in his pocket in that game. He hasn't shown a card in over 180 minutes of football.
Duncan has never previously taken charge of either Bolton or Brighton and has just seven Championship fixtures under his belt - the most recent of which was in December 2013, when Birmingham City won 3-2 at Blackburn Rovers.
