Tim Ream Wins United States Recall

Tim Ream has been called into the United States squad for their forthcoming international friendly against Ukraine.

Ream hasn't represented his country since October 2011, but has earned a recall to Jurgen Klismann's side after impressing in a difficult season for Bolton in the Championship.

The 26-year-old's inclusion gives him perhaps one final opportunity to win a place in his country's 2014 FIFA World Cup squad, with the finals set to begin in Brazil on June 12. The USA open their tournament on June 16, when they meet Ghana in Natal.

The States will face Ukraine on March 5 in Larnaca, Cyprus, after trouble in Ukraine forced the fixture to be relocated.

Ream's call-up comes just 48 hours after Adam Bogdan, Lee Chung-Yong and Yannick Bastos were included in their respective international squads.
