Hooper To Referee Millwall v Bolton

Simon Hooper will referee Saturday's Championship fixture between Millwall and Bolton Wanderers at The Den.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Burnley on Tuesday night, while Millwall claimed a 1-1 draw at Yeovil Town on the same evening.

Hooper, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 24 matches so far this season - issuing 93 yellow cards and four red.

His last outing was on February 8, when he was the man in the middle for Mansfield Town's 2-1 victory over Southend United in League Two. The Wiltshire official produced five yellow cards in that game, as well as showing a straight red card to Southend substitute Conor Clifford.

Hooper's last match in charge of Bolton was on January 4, when Wanderers were 2-1 winners over Blackpool in the third round of the FA Cup. One yellow card was shown that day, with Neil Danns the recipient.

The last time he refereed a Millwall fixture was in December 2012, when they beat Leicester City 1-0 at The Den. Five yellow cards were shown on that afternoon.
