Graham Salisbury will referee Tuesday's Championship fixture between Bolton and Burnley at the Reebok Stadium.
Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth at the weekend, while the Clarets moved up to 2nd place with a 3-1 victory over Millwall at Turf Moor.
Salisbury, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 18 matches so far this season - issuing 56 yellow cards and one red.
His last outing was on February 1, when he was the man in the middle for Leeds United's 5-1 victory over Huddersfield Town at Elland Road. The Lancashire official produced three yellow cards in that game.
Salisbury have never previously taken charge of a Bolton game, but has refereed a Burnley fixture. That came back in August 2010, when they were 3-1 winners at Morecambe in the League Cup. Five yellow cards were issued that night, in a game where Chris Eagles was on target for Owen Coyle's side.
