Freedman Denies Knight & Chung-Yong Exit Talk

Bolton boss Dougie Freedman has rejected speculation linking Lee Chung-Yong and Zat Knight with moves away from the club.

Reports over the weekend suggested Knight was the subject of an enquiry from MLS side Philadelphia Union, while Hull City were linked with a £3million swoop for South Korea international Chung-Yong.

However, speaking to the press on Monday afternoon, Freedman said there has been no movement for either player and he expects them to stay at the Reebok Stadium.

"I have seen the paper talk about Chungy but we have never had one enquiry - not one phone call," Freedman told The Bolton News.

"It's the same with Zat Knight. He has never approached me and said he wants to play in the MLS; in fact, I think he wants to continue playing in England and do his coaching badges."

The same report suggests Wanderers failed in their attempts to bring a loan defender to the club on Monday.
