Bolton defender Zat Knight has emerged as a target for MLS side Philadelphia Union, just weeks before the start of the American season.
Although the British transfer window came to a close on January 31, clubs from across the pond are actively trying to finalise their rosters before the new campaign begins on March 8 - with outgoing deals from Britain still permitted.
Knight's contract at the Reebok Stadium comes to an end in June and the 33-year-old looks set to leave after a turbulent five years with Wanderers. Should Philadelphia step up their pursuit of the two-time England international, it is possible that he could leave before the summer for a nominal fee.
The former Fulham and Aston Villa defender has previously stated his desire to end his career in the United States, so a deal to take him to the Union may suit all parties.
