Reports on transfer deadline day suggest Watford have made an enquiry over a possible loan deal for Bolton forward Marvin Sordell.
Sordell, who is currently on loan at Charlton Athletic, joined Wanderers from the Hornets on January's deadline day in 2012 for a fee of around £3million.
He has struggled to settle at the Reebok Stadium, making just 29 appearances in the two years that have followed - scoring eight goals - in contrast to scoring 27 goals in 81 outings for his former employers.
The former England under-21 international is currently with the Addicks squad as they prepare to face Wigan Athletic on Saturday and sources close to the player suggest a deal to take him back to Vicarage Road is 'unlikely' at this late stage.
Bolton boss Dougie Freedman has previously admitted he would be prepared to recall Sordell in order to find a more suitable loan move elsewhere, but it does currently look like the player will be staying at The Valley.
