Charles Breakspear will referee Saturday's Championship fixture between Ipswich Town and Bolton at Portman Road.
Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-1 defeat at Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday, while the Tractor Boys drew 1-1 at Leeds United on the same night.
Breakspear, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 16 matches so far this season - issuing 66 yellow cards and six red.
His last outing was on January 28, when he was the man in the middle for Portsmouth's 1-0 win at Wycombe Wanderers in League Two. The Surrey official produced four yellow cards in that game, as well as pointing to the penalty spot.
This is Breakspear's first season in The Football League and Saturday's Championship fixture will be the first time he has officiated at this level. He has taken charge of five League One matches this campaign, but has never been on the field during a Bolton or an Ipswich game.
