Bolton have completed the signing of Middlesbrough forward Lukas Jutkiewicz on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Jutkiewicz has fallen down the pecking order at the Riverside Stadium in recent months and a switch to the Reebok Stadium gives him the opportunity to fill the void left by David Ngog's transfer to Swansea City.

The 24-year-old is eligible to face Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday night and has been allocated the number 29 shirt.

Speaking about the arrival of the big forward, Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman believes he has all the qualities required to be one of the top players in the Championship.

"Lukas is someone I have admired for a while," Freedman told the club's official website. "I've known of him for a long time, going back to his Everton days.

"I believe that if Lukas can find the right club that can provide him with the right sort of service he can quite comfortably be one of the top strikers in this division.

"Because of his pedigree he is someone who is ready to be involved right away."
