Bolton are keeping an eye on a knee injury that kept Andre Moritz out of Saturday's humiliating 7-1 defeat at Reading.

Moritz was a notable absentee from the side that was well beaten at the Madejski Stadium, although it has now emerged he pulled out of the squad on Friday with a knee complaint.

The Brazilian playmaker was assessed by Wanderers' medical staff on Monday morning and has been provided with a protective knee brace.

Injury has wrecked the 27-year-old's chances of regular first-team football so far this season, with a groin problem keeping him out of action for the duration of September and October. He has made a total of 16 appearances since joining on a free transfer from Crystal Palace in the summer, scoring five goals.
